Connecting your console to the internet and downloading new songs for The Beatles: Rock Band is really quite easy. This guide should have you up and running in a matter of minutes.

  1. Connect your Xbox 360 to your broadband Internet connection using the supplied network cable or optional wireless adapter

Purchasing Microsoft Points

Microsoft Points are the coin of the Xbox LIVE Marketplace realm. Purchasing Points is like putting money into a special account that you can use on Xbox LIVE Marketplace. You can purchase points online on Xbox.com or through Xbox LIVE.

Option 1: Purchasing Microsoft Points at Xbox.com
  1. Visit http://marketplace.xbox.com/MyAccount/MyAccount.aspx and sign in with your Windows Live ID
  2. Select Manage Payment Options
  3. Select Add a new Credit Card, or select Edit next to an existing credit card that you wish to update
  4. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the process. The points purchased will automatically show up in your Xbox LIVE account the next time you sign into Xbox LIVE with your Xbox 360 console
Option 2: Purchasing Microsoft Points on Xbox LIVE
  1. Select the album or song you want to purchase and select Confirm Download
  2. If you do not have enough points in your account a screen will appear requiring you to purchase additional points. Select Add Microsoft Points
  3. Select the amount of points you would like to purchase
  4. If you would like to use the existing credit card associated with your profile select Confirm Download
  5. If you would like to use a new credit card select Change Payment Option
  6. The Microsoft Points will automatically be added to your Xbox LIVE account

Now you are all set to download new albums and songs for The Beatles: Rock Band from either the In-Game Music Store or Xbox LIVE Marketplace!

Option 1: In-Game Music Store

Before entering the In-Game Music Store please ensure that your Xbox 360 is connected to the internet, you have setup an Xbox LIVE account and purchased enough Microsoft Points to purchase additional albums and songs.

  1. Insert The Beatles: Rock Band into your Xbox 360 and power on your console
  2. On the Main Menu screen, select Music Store
  3. Select the albums and/or songs you would like to play and select Purchase
  4. On the next screen that pops up, select Confirm Download
Option 2: Xbox LIVE Marketplace with Xbox 360

Xbox LIVE Marketplace is your one-stop shop on Xbox LIVE for downloadable content, including more playable songs from The Beatles: Rock Band.

  1. Sign in to Xbox LIVE
  2. Go to Game Marketplace
  3. Select All Games and navigate to The Beatles: Rock Band page
  4. Select All Downloads and choose the Album(s) and/or Song(s) you would like to purchase
  5. Select Confirm Download to add it to your active downloads
  6. The item is downloaded to your console as soon as the console is online

That’s it! Your newly purchased albums/songs will appear automatically as playable songs in The Beatles: Rock Band once the download has completed.

PlayStation 3 Instructions

Connecting to the PlayStation Network

  1. Connect your PlayStation 3 to your broadband internet connection
  2. Sign up for a PlayStation Network account in the Home Menu and then follow the on-screen instructions to create an account

Once your account is created, you can purchase new content for The Beatles: Rock Band! First add funds to your PlayStation Network Wallet so you can purchase more albums and songs from The Beatles: Rock Band. To use this feature, you may be required to update the system software.

Adding funds

You can add funds to the wallet using a credit card.

  1. Select Account Management Account Management under PlayStation®Network PlayStation®Network in the home menu
  2. Select Transaction Management Transaction Management
  3. Select Add Funds. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the operation

Now you’re all set to download new albums and songs for The Beatles: Rock Band from either the In-Game Music Store or the PlayStation Store.

Option 1: In-Game Music Store

Before entering the In-Game Music Store please ensure that your PlayStation 3 is connected to the internet, you have setup a PlayStation Network account and have enough money in your PlayStation Wallet to purchase additional albums and songs.

  1. Insert The Beatles: Rock Band into your PlayStation 3 and power on your console
  2. On the Main Menu screen, select Music Store
  3. Select the albums and/or songs you would like to play and select Purchase
  4. On the next screen that pops up, select Confirm Download
Option 2: PlayStation Store

To use this feature, you may be required to update the system software

  1. Select PlayStation®Store PlayStation®Store under PlayStation®Network PlayStation®Network in the home menu
  2. If you have a PlayStation® Network account but have not signed in to PlayStation® Network, the sign-in screen will be displayed
  3. Select View All by Title
  4. Navigate to The Beatles: Rock Band
  5. Select the albums and/or songs you would like to purchase
  6. Select Buy Now if you are ready to check out or select Add to Cart if you would like to continue shopping
  7. Select View Cart to display the items currently in your shopping cart
  8. Select Proceed to Checkout – The Purchase confirmation page is displayed
  9. Select Confirm Purchase – The purchase amount is removed from your account and then the purchase is completed
  10. Select the item to download. Your PS3 system begins to download the item. Once the song has completed downloading it will automatically appear in the game as a playable song.

That’s it! The newly purchased albums/songs will appear automatically as playable songs in The Beatles: Rock Band once the download has completed.

Wii Instructions

Necessary Items

  • The Beatles: Rock Band Software
  • Nintendo Wii Console
  • Broadband Internet Connection
  • Nintendo Wii Controller

Connecting to Wii Online

To use a wired internet connection, you will need the Wii LAN Adapter (sold separately). Use it to connect your Wii to your home router.

  1. On the Wii Channel home page, select the Wii icon in the bottom left hand corner
  2. On the following screen press Wii Settings. Click the arrow on the right hand side to go to the next screen, then press Internet
  3. Click connection settings. Click Connection 1 to create a new connection. You are asked whether your internet connection is wired or wireless
Wireless
  1. Select search for access point. Click OK to view the found access points. Choose the access point you recognize.
  2. The following screen will ask you Perform a Wii System Update Now? Select Yes.
Wired
  1. Click OK to test new connection. Click Yes to update software

Purchasing Wii Points

In order to purchase additional songs for The Beatles: Rock Band you will need to purchase Wii Points either from the Wii Shop Channel or directly from The Beatles: Rock Band In-Game Music Store

Wii Shop Channel
  1. Select the Wii Shop Channel on the main menu of your Nintendo Wii. Click on Start. Now click on Start Shopping. This will take you to the Wii Shop menu.
  2. Click on the Add Wii Points option located in the middle of your screen. Click on Buy Wii Points with a Credit Card.
  3. Select the amount of Wii Points that you want to purchase. You can choose 1000, 2000, 3000 or 5000 Wii Points. Click on the amount that you are ready to purchase.

Now you’re all set to download new songs for The Beatles: Rock Band from the In-Game Music Store.

In-Game Music Store

Before entering the In-Game Music Store please ensure that your Nintendo Wii is connected to the internet, you have setup your Wii’s internet connection and purchased enough Wii Points to purchase additional songs.

  1. Insert The Beatles: Rock Band into your Nintendo Wii and power on your console
  2. On the Main Menu screen, select Music Store
  3. Select the songs you would like to play and select Purchase
  4. On the next screen that pops up, select Confirm Download

That’s it! The newly purchased songs will appear automatically as playable songs in The Beatles: Rock Band once the download has completed.
